Rose Festival 2002
At 10, 11 and 12 August the Rose Festival 2002 took place. Lottum managed to attract approximately 30,000 people. The festival site was beautifully decorated, all in the ‘World’theme. Various globes, the Eiffel Tower in boxwood, a private local airport and an air balloon coloured the site. Nearly half of all Lottumers is in one way or another involved in the creation of the Rose Festival, which in 2002 did not go unnoticed. The organization and volunteers of Rose Village Lottum received this year's award for the National Compliment, as a token of appreciation for their commitment and solidarity of the approximately 1000 volunteers.
