The Houthuizer mill

The Houthuizer mill, Lottums pride.

By initiative of the population of Lottum this mill was rebuilt in 2008. In its full glory the grain mill is back at its prime position on the steep banks of the Meuse River in the hamlet of Houthuizen.
The mill is regularly used for grinding grain. At the information centre of the mill you can visit an exhibition on the history and reconstruction of this mill, as well as facts of other mills in the Meuse valley. Furthermore, various types of flour are available.
The mill is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11.00 - 17.00 hours.
